In anticipation for the two upcoming I Made it!s (one at the Children’s Museum on Nov. 22, the next at the Union Project on Dec. 5), I have been sewing sewing sewing. And now typing too!
I hauled out the old Smith-Corona to type out some fabric labels, as per the instructions that I discovered here at Make Something.
I now can repeatedly type the word Razblint at 80 wpm, with only the occasional X or G squirting into the mix somehow. I decided to sew the typed-up white fabric onto a red felt tab, so that I can sew it into my future dolls. Or my new line of Lyndon Johnson paraphenelia. It’s coming!
Crafting a Green World offers a few more do-it-yourself projects for making fabric labels.
